Lunenburg Phillies • Team News
The Lunenburg Phillies, who were originally known as the Pepperell Jets, began play at Marshall Park in Lunenburg in the spring of 1984. 3 members of the Jets - Joe Ruth, Bob Kennedy and Dan Wholey took over the team and moved it to Lunenburg, which gave them a much better pool of available talent, and many years of winning seasons. Bobby, Dan and Joe have sadly passed but all are looking down from the heavens to watch every Phillies game.
The Phillies have won 7 League Championships since that time - 1989, 1995, 1996, 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
