2024 CNEBA Season Opener May 28
The 2024 CNEBA Season will get underway on Tuesday, May 28 as the Blackstone Valley Spinners will host Ronnies Baseball Club of Worcester, 2023 CNEBA League Champions !
Within the first week all other teams will be launching their hope for a successful campaign.
Best of Luck to All participants as the CNEBA embarks on another summer of baseball fun !

2023 INDIVIDUAL AWARDS SELECTED
All CNEBA teams voted and 3 players were selected as 2023 Most Valuable Player, Pitcher of the Year, and Rookie of the Year. The Most Valuable Player award for 2023 goes to MAX LEFRANCOIS from the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs. Max, who plays collegiately for Assumption University, batted .432, was second in the league in hits with 43, led the league with RBIs with 29, and had 10 stolen bases.

The Pitcher of the Year award goes to DANNY DIMASSIMO from Ronnies of Worcester. Danny, who pitches collegiately for Worcester State University, led the league with 7 mound victories (overall record of 7-3) and tied for the league lead in innings pitched.

Rookie of the Year goes to JAMISON HOWLAND from the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs. Jamison, who plays collegiately at Assumption University, led the league in hits with 43, knocked in 21 runs and stole 12 bases. Many players had outstanding seasons, but these 3 dedicated individuals stood a little above the rest! Congratulations to these fine young players!

Ronnies of Worcester Captures 2023 CNEBA Crown
Ronnies of Worcester held off the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs on Friday evening, August 11 at McLaughlin Park in Leominster. Final score of 8-6. Ronnies takes the Best of 3 Championship Series 2 games to 1. Winning pitcher Danny DiMassimo with relief help from Izaiah Wadsworth and Jack Merrill sealed the deal for Ronnies. Andy Carlson and Andy Sweet had 2 hits each for Ronnies. The Dirt Dogs were led by Alex Martin with a single, double and triple. AJ Hamm and Carter Doran chipped in with a double each. Shrewsbury finishes their campaign with a 25-9 record, Ronnies of Worcester finishes 22-11. Congrats to both teams for outstanding seasons!

CNEBA Finals Game 3 Suspended in the 6th Inning
Game 3 of CNEBA Finals halted for second consecutive game due to heavy rain and unplayable field conditions in the top of the 6th inning. Ronnies of Worcester was holding a slim 6-5 lead over the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs at the time action was stopped. Play will resume Friday, August 11 at McLaughlin Park. First pitch at 6:30 PM

Shrewsbury takes Game 2 of Finals 6-5 Over Ronnies
Shrewsbury emerged victorious in Game 2 over Ronnies of Worcester 6-5. Game 2 was played at Shrewsbury High School beginning on Monday, Aug. 7. Play was halted in the 2nd inning that night, resumed and played to completion on Wednesday, Aug. 9. Hitting stars for the Dirt Dogs were Carter Doran and Nick Martin with 2 hits each. Ronnies was led by Joey Acker with a single and double. The CNEBA Final Series is now tied 1-1 with the deciding Game 3 scheduled for McLaughlin Park in Leominster on Thursday, August 10 at 6:30 PM. Rain date is Friday, August 11 at 6:30 PM.

CNEBA Finals Game 2 Suspended Due to Weather
Game 2 of the CNEBA Finals was suspended due to heavy rain leading to unplayable field conditions on Monday, August 7th evening at Shrewsbury High School.
The Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs were batting in the top of the second inning with a 3-0 lead over Ronnies of Worcester when the game action was halted. The game will resume on Wednesday,
Aug. 9 at Shrewsbury High School at 5:45 PM. Ronnies of Worcester holds a 1 game to none lead
in the Best of 3 Series.

Ronnies of Worcester Takes Game 1 of CNEBA Finals
Ronnies of Worcester beat the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs 10-3 at Shrewsbury High School on Sunday afternoon in the first game of the Best of 3 Series.
Hitting leaders for Ronnies included Joey Acker with 2 singles, double and 2 RBI. Closely followed by Bobby Higgins and Andy Carlson with 2 hits apiece scoring 1 and 2 RBI respectively. Game 2
will be played Monday, August 7 at 5:45 PM back at Shrewsbury High weather permitting.

CNEBA Championship Set to Begin
Shrewsbury eliminated Blackstone 7-1 in Saturday action and in doing so punched their ticket back to the FINALS. Shrewsbury was the 2022 League Champ. Ronnies of Worcester put their team back in the Finals for the 2nd consecutive year by sweeping the Lunenburg Phillies a day earlier.
The Best of 3 Series gets underway Sunday at 3 PM at Shrewsbury High School. Game 2 will be Monday, Aug. 7 at 5:45 PM followed by Game 3, if needed, at 5:45 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
Both Monday and Tuesday will be played at Shrewsbury High School. Best of Luck to both teams!
